At least 20 men were arrested after authorities from the Quezon City Police District conducted a raid on Wednesday night at three city locations believed to be cybersex dens.
The three alleged cybersex dens are located in West Avenue, Bagong Bantay, and Timog Avenue, GMA News Online reports.
Some of the apprehended suspects in West Avenue were caught posing as women in what was seen as a scheme to make foreign customers show their private parts while on cam.
“Once you have recorded videos, and photos of the customer, their sexual activity, sexual organs—so ito yung gagamitin nilang pang blackmail,” QCPD Director C/Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said.
But the suspects denied this and insisted they were only offering membership for online dating sites. They were reportedly earning between P5,000 to P10,000 per week.
Authorities have seized at least 30 computers from the three locations which will be used as evidence in the filing of cases against the suspects.
