While it is an unwritten rule in many households that weekends start a little before noon ("Huwag ninyo ako gigisingin ng umaga, Ma! I need to rest my mind!), we at FHM don’t mind getting up before sunrise to do work. Especially when Rachel Anne Daquis is knocking on our door, signaling us to do business at 4 a.m. like we're in a volleyball boot camp.

And just like how glorious she looks like even in the middle of a heated volleyball game, Rachel is equally refreshing to the eyes even with just four hours of snooze–proving to everyone that she's ready for our cover and that all our panliligaw paid off.

Yes, FINALLY: Shakey’s V-league's 2014 Most Valuable Player and Best Server of the Conference Rachel Anne is FHM's October Cover Girl.

Like in everything she does, the former Queen Tamaraw doesn’t disappoint in her maiden stint with us. Looking every bit a stunner, Rachel Anne worked our cover like a real champ.

We mean, just look at her:

We’d like to take credit for pushing through with this photo-shoot despite the many attempts of Bagyong Kanor to ruin our plans, but really, Rachel Anne saved us by giving us her best–you know, like a real MVP would for her team. “At first I was kind of nervous. First time ko lang kasi mag-shoot ng ganito ang peg," she later admits in our interview. "I know the team knows kung hanggang saan lang ang limit ko, and they were very flexbile naman."

Aside from volleyball's super duper stunner, we’ve got more good stuff lined up for you in this month’s issue: a one-on-one interview with the Mighty Mister Alapag, a guide on how to get the girls of the world to go to bed with you, and a bevy of FHM Babes, among others.

The second edition of FHM Gravure, featuring Sheric Ranning and Debbie Garcia, is included as well!

Our October 2014 issue is now available in supermarkets, newsstands, and bookstores everywhere! Grab a copy now! You can also score digital copies through the FHM and Buqo apps, Zinio, and the Summit Newsstand in a couple of days. But if you really can't wait to see what's inside our new issue, click here for the video teaser and here for the E-Mag preview!
