Ronnie Dayan, the past driver/bodyguard and former flame of embattled Senator Leila de Lima has outright denied that a sex video between them existed—as far as he was aware of.

During a House hearing on illegal drugs following his capture this week, Dayan put an end to rumors that a supposed sex video starring him and the senator was floating around, GMA News Online reports.

"Wala pong katotohanan yun, Sir. Kung meron mang kumuha, hindi yun galing sa cellphone ko," he replied when questioned on the said issue.

De Lima's supposed sex video was first mentioned by whistleblower Sandra Cam in a hearing back in 2014.

It once again became a hot topic after De Lima's former bodyguard, Joenel Sanchez, claimed in his testimony during a House hearing about illegal drugs in October that the sex video did exist.

Rumors claimed it was Dayan who took the video after a supposed thumbnail of the sex video started spreading online.

President Rodrigo Duterte, for his part, has earlier hammered De Lima over the issue, saying her immorality has led to her committing crimes.

De Lima has repeatedly denied the existence of the sex video and cried foul over her detractors who have been using it as an excuse to further pin her down in the illegal drug trade.
