Embattled Senator Leila de Lima has said that she only feels pity on the untoward advances made on her by President Rodrigo Duterte who has once again launched fresh tirades against her.

On Monday, De Lima reacted by saying that she was tired and didn’t want to be badgered by the president anymore, GMA News reported.

“Our President is again going ballistic... Suddenly, he’s now—for me, he’s now the lowest, vilest man in the country sa sobrang kabastusan na niya that’s why, God forgive him,” she said.

De Lima even sarcastically mocked Duterte by implying that his continuous aggressive moves on her might actually have some romantic motive behind it.

“Naawa na po ako sa inyo mahal na Pangulo, tigilan na ninyo ako. Ano po ang gusto ninyo sa akin? May gusto po ba kayo sa akin?” she asked.

During a speaking engagement with the Malacañang Press Corps earlier on the same day, Duterte launched his new tirades against De Lima.

Duterte scoffed at De Lima’s earlier statement that high-profile inmate and suspected bigtime drug operator Jaybee Sebastian was a government asset.

Last week, a witness during an investigative hearing in Congress regarding the illicit drug trade in the Bilibid prison said De Lima and Sebastian were extremely close, even implying that the two might have had sex inside the national penitentiary.

Both government officials have been at it since Duterte won as president with both having opposing standpoints on extrajudicial killings.
