A posh Spanish restaurant has developed Scentee, a digital app that would diffuse the smell of its dishes from a small accessory that you can attach to your phone. It can also be used as an alarm clock (imagine literally waking up to the smell of coffee!) and as a fun add-on to video games, where you can smell gunpowder every time you fire. Whoa!
In 2009, software engineer Brian Acton was rejected by Twitter and Facebook despite having several years’ worth of experience in Yahoo! and Apple. However, he didn’t let these failures bog him down: Brian went on to co-found WhatsApp, which was recently bought by Facebook for a whopping $19 billion. Now that’s an inspirational story!
