A 46-year-old Canadian transgender might have just pulled off the ultimate throwback.

Stefonknee Wolschtt (or "Stephanie") had been married for 23 years and a father of seven when she realized she is a transgender (read: a person who thinks he/she has a different gender than the one biologically assigned to him/her).

"I can't deny I was married. I can't deny I have children. But I've moved forward now and I've gone back to being a child," Stefonknee said in a video series by the Daily Xtra's "The Transgender Project."

That's only the beginning of her unusual story. Believe it or not, Wolschtt is now living as a "six-year-old girl" with her adoptive family, saying she does not "want to be an adult right now."

According to Stefonknee, her new household is "totally comfortable with me being a little girl," in total contrast to her previous kin, in which her estranged wife told her to "stop being trans or leave."

"To me, 'stop being trans' isn't something I could do," she stressed. "It would be like telling me to stop being 6'2" or leave."

As to why she chose to go back to being six, Wolschtt credits her new parents' granddaughter, who told her she wants to have a younger sister.

"We have a great time. We color, we do kids' stuff," she relates. "It's called play therapy. No medication, no suicide thoughts. And I just get to play."

The mention of suicide might have been connected to Wolschtt's history of trying to kill herself. She started to become suicidal after being part of the first Toronto Transgender March in 2009, her last attempt happening on the day of her daughter's wedding.

Here's a more detailed version of her story:

Brings to mind Ladybaby's Ladybeard, yes?
