Bodyguards are supposed to be the one to protect their boss and break up fights, yes? Well, normally, yeah. Sometimes though, it's the other way around.
After watching the #FightOfTheCentury, Michael Jordan played the role of peacemaker, breaking up a potential physical altercation between an obviously unhappy bro and one of his bodyguards. R&B singer Delray Richardson captured the incident on video and uploaded it on YouTube.

If you're wondering why basketball's G.O.A.T and the first-ever billion-dollar athlete stepped in, Richardson offers an explanation: "You could tell this dude was major." If you listen closely, the man was saying he's a "Piru" in the beginning of the video. "Piru" is an influential street gang in California, so you know it's going to get ugly when they're involved.
It’s really crazy to see how close MJ was to being involved in a fight. His wife Yvette Prieto was even pulling him away:
According to Richardson, the man was pissed off because MJ’s bodyguard pushed him for no apparent reason. He also noted how effective the 52-year-old basketball player intervention was. "We thought it was powerful how Michael Jordan quelled a situation that was going to get out of hand real fast if he had not stepped in. Out of respect for MJ the black guy let it go. That goes to show Michael Jordan's power and influence off the court," Delray said.
And just like that, MJ's legend and our respect for him grew even more! Good job, your Airness!
