Don’t look now, but the first month of 2012 is over, just like that. Our pro tip: End January as you started it—with a bang!
See Anne Curtis in concert
You’re used to seeing her on TV and film, and in your fantasies; but how about in an actual concert? Yes, it’s Anne’s first major concert, so like a supportive boyfriend, we’ll be there. Fresh from releasing her debut album, Annebisyosa, this is Anne’s time to prove that she’s serious about this music business. In any case, she’s hot, and that might be reason enough for some of us! “Annebisyosa - No Other Concert World Tour” happens on January 28, 2012, 8PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Not your usual movie night at SM Malls
From January 25 to 31, SM Cinemas in cooperation with the Film Development Council of the Philippines present the first ever Bigshot Film Festival. Three quality local films from the indie scene will be put on showcase: Balang Araw, Tahanan, and Suntok Sa Buwan. Catch them at an SM Mall near you including SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Manila, and SM Cebu.
Guitars! Lots of them!
Love guitars? Then check out the 2012 Philippine International Guitar Festival and Competition happening from January 26 to 29 at the CCP Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (CCP Little Theater), CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The event will be hosting performances by some of the most talented local and foreign guitarists such as Jacob Cordover from Australia, Gen Matsuda and Tomonori Arai from Japan, and Pinoy musicians Monching Carpio, EJ Pichay and Erskine Basilio. Guitar master classes will also be held during the event for all those who still dream to be mentioned in the same breath as those guys.
Tickets are at P400 with discounts for students, senior citizens, and big groups.
For inquiries, contact the CCP Box Office at 832-3704 or TicketWorld at 891-9999.
