According to WCYB News, the 49-year-old pro wrestler and businessman just filed paperwork that brings him one step closer to running for public office in Tennessee.
Jacobs who identified himself as a Republican is reportedly eyeing to be the Knox County mayor, a position currently held by Tim Burchett whose term is limited.
He first talked about running for public office last year when he shared how deeply he cared for Knox County.
Although sudden, this doesn't seem like a dramatic act from Jacobs whose family has been living in Knoxville for the past couple of years. Prior to this, they have been residing in East Tennessee since 1995.
Jacobs has stated that he will create jobs and improve the businesses in the area if he wins the elections, scheduled on May 1, 2018.
The 300-pound giant, who is billed as seven-feet tall heel in the WWE, is known for his demonic theme
and has been in the pro wrestling roster since 1995. His finishing moves include the Tombstone Piledriver and the Chokeslam from Hell.
