So you get a girl to say yes to a date. Congratulations. Now, the real challenge is to maintain a good relationship so you won't send her packing.

Now, keep in mind some of the common unattractive traits you must avoid if you want to score a second date.

1)
YOU CHECK OUT OTHER WOMEN WHEN YOU'RE WITH YOUR GIRL

Staring at every attractive woman that passes could leave the girl you are with feeling unattractive.

"I've experienced that with my past boyfriend. Nakakababa ng self-esteem. Then it gives me an impression na ‘yung guy ay hindi marunong makuntento. Eventually, may possibility na masira ang trust mo sa kanya," says Cheska, 27, a freelance model.

So the next time you're tempted to turn your head to get a better look at a hot chick, just try to focus at your girl's face.

2)   YOU LET HER PAY FOR YOUR FIRST DATE

Imagine: It's been a great night. The evening is coming to a close. You can't figure out how to handle the check, so you asked her on splitting the bill.

Now, that's just a wrong move, dude.

When in doubt, just remember this simple rule: You invited her out, so you're "on the hook to pay the check," according to the etiquette expert at Emily Post, as reported in Huffington Post.

"Although we can pay for it, I feel valued if a guy insists on paying the bill on a first date. It's like, he's really serious about getting my attention," Howie, 25, a nurse, shares.

Don't get us wrong, though, others might insist on paying for some activities after you've declined her offer once. If that's the case, then let your date do her thing.

3)   YOU TALK A LOT (ABOUT YOURSELF)

Don't be that dude who would boast about his past affairs, would badmouth his ex, and would practically summarize his entire life, in one sitting. Remember, a man who shows no interest beyond himself is a turn off.

"The best way to brag about yourself to others is probably not to brag at all. Let other people do the bragging for you," Susan Krauss Whitbourne, Ph.D., a professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, tells SelfGrowth.com.

Some women will show the "it's- fine-with-me" attitude during a conversation, so always try to observe if she’s really interested about the topic or if she's just being polite so as not to offend you.
