It’s our favorite time of the year—that’s aside from Christmas and the FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party; okay, it’s our THIRD favorite time of the year! But who’s counting, right? What’s more important is it’s now February. The love month. The okay-lang-magwaldas-para-sa-date month. The only month men are allowed to be ultra-cheesy.
But do you have any idea HOW to be cheesy? Are you and your lady constantly bickering about your lack of romance? Do you attribute your singlehood to your lack of wooing skills? Well, we’re going to solve these all for you! FHM will be dishing out daily how-to-be-a-Don-Romantiko tips the whole month of February!
What's that? You swore to #IponPaMore this 2015?
Well, how are you doing with that resolution so far? Yeah, buddy, you're still as broke as last year.
We get it; we feel your pain, too. And it surely doesn't help that Valentine's Day is just a few days away and it hurts that you don't even have an extra penny to buy your girl a gift.
"Hu-what?! I need to buy her a gift?!"
But don't panic, bro. Shake off that pressure to get your girl a pricey present and go DIY, just like what you did last Christmas. She'll feel the love even more if you give her something you've made yourself—and it won't leave a dent on your already meager funds, either.
Behold, our awesome DIY gift ideas for V-Day. Spend the next few days artin' and craftin' with these options!

Flowers get expensive at this time of the year, and it won't really matter even if your haggling skills are as good as the Pawn Stars boys of History Channel. Avoid the mad rush to the flower stalls and do origami flowers instead. Real flowers may or may not follow at a later date.

Your lady can't (and probably won't) go to the spa or get a massage every time she's stressed. This V-Day, be the man and make her relax. Make her some awesome bath essentials for a quick, budget-friendly wind-down at home. Happy endings: Optional.

Is your girlfriend/wife/crush/”friend” a fan of artisanal alcohol? You two can easily head out to bars serving the latest craft brews and specialty drinks, but since you're on cheapskate mode, why not impress her by making your own fusion booze.
Here's a quick guide:
Base alcohol: Vodka
Possible flavor inclusions: Cinnamon, habanero, basil, pepper, and/or citrus peel
Instructions: Get clean, air-tight jars, preferably mason jars. Wash the your choice ingredients (spices, fruits, or both) and place them inside the jar. Fill the container with Vodka and cover it tightly with the lid. Shake a few times and give it a sip. Add a few more ingredients if deemed necessary. Lastly, store it in a cool, dark place and shake it three to five times a day, until you decide to consume it.

THAT OLD-SCHOOL YET EFFECTIVE SCRAPBOOK
Well, this isn't really the one you'd like to give to your lovey, but you get the drift
Valentine's Day is a great time for you to show your (rarely seen) senti side. A personalized scrapbook of your months or years as a couple, or even framed photos of special moments, will already make your girlfriend's night.
But if you've already done that, here's a DIY project that takes personalized gifts to the next level. How does turning photos of you two into a puzzle sounds?

While this may call for some woodworking skills and equipment. We're thinking of substituting kids' play blocks for the wood blocks, though.

Remember our Idea Box idea from last Christmas? This Valentine's Day Coupons project from Better Homes and Gardens runs on the same concept: Your recipient gets to avail of special services from you, even long after the original occasion's done. In this case, you make personalized coupons for your sweetheart, which she can redeem during and after V-Day.
We also say you must take into account all possible future offenses and making special coupons to offset their PMS-naggings–because it's always the guy's fault. That's just one of life's (sad) truths. #huhubels

Staying in during 214 is becoming a better idea every year. Restaurants, bars, hotels, and motels are packed; traffic gets a lot worse (not Christmastime levels, but still pretty bad); and that “special” date night you've planned turns out to be everyone's special date night plan, too. So we suggest reserving the whole routine for another night.
In the meantime, why don't you head over to her place with a romantic date-night basket? Bring over DVDs of her favorite movies, a couple packs of popcorn or some snacks, chocolate, and a bottle or two of wine. Maybe you can chuck in some of that home-brewed or infused alcohol, paper flowers, and your homemade bath stuff (basically, all the things above). Maybe even cook for her?
We can actually see your pogi points rising to infinity.
