According sex expert Dr. Kat Van Kirk, drinking beer has a host of benefits that go beyond simply making us feel tipsy and happy. The world-famous bar staple has what is called phytoestrogens, a substance that—wait for it—helps prevent premature ejaculation. Hooray!

It's more than just sparing us the embarrassment of ending it too soon, though. Dr. Kat says that beer, specifically darker beers, can get a person in the mood for a bedroom sesh. Iron in the drink increases blood circulation, resulting to easier and more erections. Think of it as a frothy version of the blue pill.

A study done by researchers at Italy’s Fondazione di Ricerca e Cura has revealed that drinking a pint a day makes a person 31-percent less likely to suffer from strokes and other heart-related diseases compared to those who don't. In other words, beer, when paired with a healthy diet and exercise, can increase physical endurance. Definitely good news for doing you-know-what.

Last but not the least, certain types of beers come with ingredients such as ginseng and ginkgo biloba that can help increase sexual desire and improve nerve stimulation.

So there, another very good reason to down a bottle or two, especially if you're about to get lucky.
