7 things Apple could do with their $100 billion in cash

On second thought, Greece's debt is way over Apple's budget at $400 billion (how on earth did they manage to rack up that much?!) so maybe Apple could just put in an offer for part of the country---like Santorini (above)

...and become their own superhero. Bruce Wayne's net worth is just at $6.5 billion while Tony Stark is a little bit more at $9.4 billion. At this rate Apple can buy 10 Tony Starks. We can see it now: Ironman out, Appleman in.

We don't mean spending $100 billion downloading music off of iTunes. We're talking royalties and publishing rights. The Beatles catalog alone is worth $47 million. Sony/ATV, the company that has publishing rights to almost every artist (Bon Jovi to Lady Gaga...even Billy Crawford) is worth $1.5 billion. That's just one music company. Think about it!

Here's a practical reason. The only thing that even comes close (not really) to denting Apple's billions is their $11 billion contract with Samsung for parts. Let's face it, they have to find suppliers from elsewhere because they don't have their own factory. To really be a superpower, they could probably allot some of that dough to go to Apple Manufacturing. YEAH!

The UK spends about US$291 million yearly on their royal family. That includes travel and accommodations, their many palaces, etc. How about the Royal Family of Cupertino?
