Have you always been the type who keeps things to herself?
Sa simula mahihiya ka pa talaga. Like with this shoot, I was really nervous, scared and all. Unang-una, first time ko kasi talaga eh. I wasn’t feeling confident at all; I didn’t know how to pose. Sobrang kinakabahan ako. Little by little, as I observed Jef and Sunshine, na-relax-relax na ako nang konti. I just thought na if sila nagagawa nila, then I could do it, too.
Then how did you end up in a job where shyness never counts?
Sabi nila [ABS-CBN talent scounts], may hitsura raw ako. Sasayaw sila, tapos just before the music ends, I’ll do a simple pose. Yun yung ending pose.
And how long were you able to continue getting away with it?
Tahimik ako pero very competitive din. Ayokong naiiwanan. Ayun, with the help of Tita Anna [Anna Feliciano, the woman behind Wowowee’s ASF dancers], natuto na ako.
And now you’re a cover girl. How does that feel?
Nakakagulat and unexpected, hindi ako makapaniwala. I couldn’t believe I’d be a cover girl!
It’s very exciting, and I’m very happy.
Would you say that this is a good start to the year?
Yes, and it feels very fresh. At isa pa, it’s something that’s out of my comfort zone. Ay,masasabi ko na talaga na, “I’m so sexy!” Ha ha.
Speaking of comfort zones, was it hard to do the topless photos?
