Funny thing is, Jef Gaitan may be an FHM issue too late.

As you may recall, September marks FHM's first ever Comedy + Style issue, with Rufa Mae Quinto and Luis Manzano championing a school of modern-day comedians; ones who, while used to being the butt of jokes, are getting lots of rave in the looks department. Jef, meanwhile, is quickly building her showbiz resume with a bevy of comedic roles, courtesy of the nightly comedy gag show Banana Nite.

And mind you, she's becoming quite the comic chameleon (palengkerang tsimay, clingy girlfriend, lady senator), and we can't really hide the fact that she's a supah fine actress either. She clearly belongs in their company, so how could we have missed this one?

As a way to make it up to our readers for this little boo-boo, we're hoping a month-long homage to Jef as this month's FHM Online Babe does the trick. Tell 'em, darling - after you sort through her latest batch of owkei-sa-alright photos, we're thinking all will be forgiven. Unless you'd rather look at a picture of Empoy in a suit than a picture of Jef in her undies, all is good.

Now let's all give Jef Gaitan a warm welcome as she officially arrives in the world of comedy! She's late, but she's arrived!

Is it obvious enough you're one of our most absolute favorite colleagues? How many times have we done this?
Oh my gosh, I’ve done a cover shoot, one on the beach, one for the [upcoming] FHM Ladies Confessions, and then this one. All in all, apat na yata in a span of three years.

And our shoots get better and better each time.
I have to admit, nung first time ko, yung confidence level ko nasa 50% pa lang. Nanggaling ako sa sobrang covered and poised shoots to skimpy and a two-piece. That’s the first time I wore a two-piece in a shoot.

As a cover girl, was there pressure on your part to make sure the magazine does well?
Yes, of course. You don’t always want to be someone na nasa loob lang. Gusto mo ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit bini-build up yung magazine. As a cover girl, it is your responsibility to maintain a good body, be prepared, and align your intentions with the readers.

Let's talk about hosting. We never thought you'd be so good at it!
Before, yung hosting, ‘yun yung ayaw na ayaw kong gawin. Iniisip kong hindi ko siya kaya kasi mahiyain akong magsalita, eh. Hindi ako confident to talk. I wouldn’t have any idea what to say next. But then when I tried it the first time on TV, nagulat ako sa sarili ko na non-stop yung bibig ko, salita ako ng salita. And then I realized na meron akong kakaibang high just talking to the camera. Love ko pala siya.
