The phrase “girl next door” is often thrown around but is hardly ever personified. Maria Daniella Hake, however, is a rare breed. Nobody fails to notice her many levels of desirability: sweet, easy going, and an obvious beauty that easily mesmerizes.
Born to a British dad and a Filipina mom, Ella started her modelling career at the young age of 8 years old, so it’s no wonder she is such a natural. But her world isn’t all about great looks and the limelight. She splits her time between modelling and school and dreams of becoming a businesswoman or a theater actress someday. Despite being pretty damn gorgeous, Ella doesn't just bank on her physical attributes to captivate.
Don’t be surprised if she looks familiar. FHM just featured her in the February 2017 issue and she’s got a huge following on Instagram, where more of her sultry pics await.
To celebrate her FHM.com.ph debut, we decided a beach trip was in order. And as you'll see from the images below, it was nothing short of captivating.
Congratulations on your FHM magazine feature, Ella! You mentioned that it was your childhood dream to pose for FHM.
Yes! I always see FHM magazines around the house when I was young and I always looked at them. I’ve always thought that the girls were are all so pretty, so I told myself that I’m going to see myself in that magazine one day. So when FHM contacted me, I was so happy, but at the same time I was kind of nervous because it’s a big thing me for.
How does it feel like to see yourself in the magazine? Your photos will be surfacing online, too.
Here’s a funny story. When the magazine came out, I went to 7-Eleven running and asking all their staff if they had the February issue. When I paid for it, I ripped out the plastic immediately. I was so happy. I think people thought I was a psycho. Ha ha! I think there’s nothing impossible when you believe in your dreams.
That sounds hilarious! So tell us, how did you get into the modelling industry?
I started when I was just eight years old. My mom told me that I modelled for a milk brand called Anchor, but the pictures were only released in the province. However, I stopped because my mom wanted me to focus on my studies. I decided to join the modelling industry again when I turned 15 to continue my dad’s legacy. He’s a true inspiration for me. He worked for Kuya Germs before in That’s Entertainment.
So are you also looking to foray into local TV shows?
No one knows, but if the time comes, I would be happy to appear on local television shows. I want to be like Maritoni Fernandez. I used to watch her shows and people always say that I look like her when she was in her teens.
We can definitely see the similarities. Anyway, what keeps you busy aside from modelling?
Probably working out and staying fit. Working out is a big part of me. I focus more on my glutes and my abs and I also do waist training to have those Kim Kardashian curves. Ha ha! I try to work out five times a week. I used to go to the gym, but since I go to school there’s not much time now so I just work out at home.
Oh, so you’re still studying?
I’m currently enrolled in ALS, which means Alternative Learning System. I’m taking it so I can be directed to the year that I’m right for since I stopped school. There's a lot of essay writing and exams. I go to my class every other morning from 7:00a.m. to 12:00nn. To be honest, it’s a good thing for me since I can’t attend normal classes because of shoots. I never wanted my studies to not be my priority.
If you pass ALS, what happens next?
I’m planning to take performing arts because I like to sing, dance, and act. I don’t have a school in mind yet but I always tell myself that the name of the school doesn’t really matter. What matters most is that you get your diploma on a course you wanted to finish.
We totally agree! So what's your ultimate dream?
I want to be a theater actress or businesswoman someday. Theater is about expressing one's feeling and I’m kind of a drama queen so I think that would work. Ha ha! I also want to have a restaurant that transforms into a bar at night. To be able to reach these goals, I’m doing my best to finish my studies. I’m not going to be a model all my life so might as well have an education.
