The 24-year-old, who will represent the country in the Miss World 2017 pageant (China), reigned supreme over 34 other candidates, which included Miss Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Winwyn Marquez, Miss Eco Philippines Cynthia Tomalla, Miss Multinational Sophia Senoron, 1st Princess Glyssa Perez, and 2nd Princess Zara Carbonell.
Lehman's defining moment during the prestigious pageant came when she was asked about how pageants empower women.
"To anyone who doesn’t believe in pageants, I would ask them to take a look at the girls tonight because we have lawyers, architects, women of substance who are here not only because of what they look like but because of what’s in their hearts, what’s in their mind, and because what they’ve brought forth beauty with a purpose. they’re helping represent PH and become the best version of the Filipina and for me that’s something only to celebrate," the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 First Runner-up responded.
Her brimming confidence wasn't at all suprising because she has had a ton of experience in front of the camera. Aside from a handful of modelling and hosting stints, Lehmann has served as courtside reporter for the Ateneo Blue Eagles and emcee of the pre-game show UpFront at the UAAP.
The connection with sports comes naturally to the fresh-faced Psychology student, who was a former member of the national softball team, and played rugby when she was younger. In a 2015 ABS-CBN Sports profile, it was also said the Lehmann wore the flag's colors "at a World Series tournament where the Philippines placed second to the US." We're not even factoring her current flame, GlobalPort Batang Pier guard and Gilas cadet Von Pessumal. Lucky dude!
