While some celebrities try very hard to make their audience laugh, all that Lovely Abella has to do is enter the room and be herself.
It's ironic, because Lovely never imagined herself evolving into a certified laugh factory. “Actually, hindi ko alam na magiging komedyante pala ako," she shares. "Akala ko kasi pang-drama ako. Hilig ko talaga umarte ng mga drama sa harapan ng salamin. Na-realize ko lang na pwede pala akong comedienne kasi pag kausap ko mga kaibigan ko, may times na seryoso na ako pero tumatawa sila. So doon ko na-discover na sexy comedienne pala ako!”
This cover girl's effortless comedic prowess is indubitable. A typical shoot with her and the rest of her castmates (Arra San Agustin, Arny Ross, Chariz Solomon, Denise Barbacena, Jackie Rice, Kim Domingo, and Valeen Montenegro) will have anyone rolling on the floor in a fit of laughter. She's a natural and it shows.
But of course, like most working in comedy, she also has a serious side, apparent in the way the dancer-host proudly shared that this FHM cover is one of the best opportunities that Bubble Gang has given her.
“Nag-effort talaga ako para rito. Umiiyak na ako sa kaka-diet ko!” Lovely shares. “Imagine, nag-start lang ako as dakilang extra. After ko maging dakilang extra, naging TV dancer ako sa Wowowee and then naging co-host ni Mr. Willie Revillame. And then nag-audition kung saan saan. And sa awa ng Diyos, this is it!
With hard work and a heart for performing, Lovely's ascent to comedy greatness shows no signs of stopping. We're claiming it—this head-turner will be a household name in no time.
