Local sneakerheads have something to look forward to this weekend, as Nike is slated to release the Flyknit Racer 'Triple Black.'

Also dubbed the 'Midnight Racer,' the colorway is an all-black take on the classic running shoe. The Swoosh brand isn't all about the aesthetic, though.

The blacked-out waffle rubber outsole is racing specific, which provides "exceptional traction from the first to final mile." The dynamic Flywire tech conforms to the user's feet "for a custom-like fit and secure lock-down."

The Flyknit Racer captured the hearts of shoe enthusiasts with its previous colorways, but here are some more reasons why this darker version is rather appealing:

1) No need to worry about stains

White may be everybody's fashion staple, but a quick stroll along the grimy, dirt-ridden streets of the urban jungle is sure to stain that purity. If you're the type who loves to walk around the metro, the dark shade gives you one less thing to worry about.

2) It suits almost any casual look

Be it jeans or walking shorts, an all-black trainer is always your safest best. The color stabilizes whateveroutfit you choose to rock for the day. Some even go as far as pairing formal attire with sneakers, but that's territory we're still to scared to tread.

3) Black has always been unassuming

For sneakerheads who aren't too fond of people staring at their feet when they step out, 'Triple Black' makes sure you don't scream too much for unwanted attention. Its low-key hue ensures a sleek appearance and suave appearance.

4) Game over glam

As a sportsman, opting for a minimalist shade in training gear says a lot about your priorities and attitude towards the task at hand. You'd rather develop your skills than worry about the latest athlesiure trends. Remember, looking good out there can help elevate your game and master your sport.

The 'Midnight Racer' will be sold in limited pairs starting at exactly 12 a.m. this Saturday, February 4, at Nike Park Fort, Bonifacio Global City. Fanatics may start lining up on the evening of Friday, February 3.
