Think baskil is not a big deal? Think again!

While it's the body's way of releasing toxins, too much sweating is generally unattractive ("I love how he's always sweaty," said no woman ever) and leads to stinky situations especially on underarms. And if you haven't yet found a way to solve it or, at the very least, supress the baktol it produces, then we're here to say YOU SHOULD. You really should.

Along with deodorants, here we've compiled simple and inexpensive ways that can help you get rid of this horror—solutions you can find right in your very home.

TOMATOES

Because it contains antioxidants, it can help regulate internal body temperature and eliminate toxins that cause excessive sweating. Make a tomato juice and drink it regularly for you to see its beneficial effects.

POTATO

Slices of potato are great in absorbing liquid. So if you're feeling sweaty, get a slice of potato and rub it on your underarms. The potato slice acts as an absorbent pad that soaks up all the sweat and hopefully the B.O. that accompanies it.

VINEGAR

Vinegar can kill bacteria and germs—the root causes of body odor. Make a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar, and spray it on your underarms. Based on anecdotal evidence, the bacteria-killing properties work well on underarm sweat that harbors these odor-causing germs.

CORNSTARCH AND BAKING POWDER

These two ingredients can combine to make an effective homemade deo. Do this by mixing one part baking soda with six parts cornstarch, which you then apply on your underarms. Cornstarch absorbs sweat effectively given its fine consistency while baking soda absorbs the odor much like it can absorb odors in your fridge.

Remember, put/rub it on your underarms; DO NOT EAT IT!

SALT

Mix a tablespoon of salt with lime juiced then massage it on your underarms. It will decelerate the activities of sweat glands and cure excessive sweating.

COCONUT OIL

Thanks to its lauric acid component, coconut oil can help eliminate bacteria that cause sweat with odor. Simply take a small amount of it and rub it on your armpits. And don't believe what your know-it-all friend says about how it stains clothes. It won't. It will, however, leave you with a sticky feeling.

LEMON

Its citric acid eliminates the bacteria that cause excessive sweating. Simply cut a lemon into halves then rub it under your arms while squeezing its juice gently.
