You can always spray on your cologne, true. But all that does is hide your real, honest-to-goodness scent. If you don’t have an odor problem, spraying on cologne or perfume will make you smell nice and fresh and all is good in the world. If, however, you find yourself in a funk, your cologne can only do so much.

[firstpara]And what about your breath? And your feet? And the often-overlooked skin folds and creases? We know, right. Here are a few tips and tricks to make your cologne last longer, and your general odor, smelling better than ever.

Bye-bye bad breath. Apart from brushing your pearly whities, don’t forget two things: a) scrape your tongue to clean bacteria in your licker and b) avoid alcohol-based mouthwash. Alcohol-based mouthwash doesn’t just dry out the mouth, it breeds bacteria, too. Bacteria, if you don’t know yet, leave that awful taste in your mouth. Imagine the smell. These are the same bacteria that you want to eliminate by scraping your tongue.

Another way to kill these buggers? Suck on an orange, lemon, or calamansi. Obviously, they make your saliva more acidic, which is a way to kill bacteria, too.

De-moisturize in all the right places. Sweaty hands, sweaty armpits, sweaty feet. Moisture is a breeding ground for bacteria, which again,produces that nasty smell. You can go the usual routine and apply your deodorizer and anti-perspirant daily, sure. But back it up by with baking soda—this absorbs moisture nice and easy, killing those body bugs in the process. Sprinkle some onto your body as you take your nightly showers for best results. Give special attention to body parts that sweat a lot, i.e. your armpits.
