You may take that after-himalos sting as your soap working. You may be a tinny bit right: It is working. Except, it’s overly working, like that bibo officemate, whose car tires you want to slash.

But back to your soap. That sting you feel after washing your face is actually your skin telling you that your soap may be too strong for you, and that it’s drying your skin up. What do you do? You go for mild.

Thankfully, two leading brands in men’s grooming have come up with products that may not come in packaging as regular as soap bar but no worries. They also don’t sting as soapbars do.

1.    L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Skin Awakening Icy Cleansing Gel
The Skin Awakening Gel from L’Oreal  is enriched with Cryo-Tonic, which is soap-free, meaning it won’t dry your skin.

It does, however, refreshes and cleanses your skin. And because it is soap-free, you know the tightness and and the sting won’t haunt you anymore.

It also reinforces the skin’s natural resistance with its Active Defense System. It is a soothing ingredient that helps skin resist daily aggressors.

It leaves your skin soft and smooth, preparing it for a smooth and close shave.

2.    Shiseido Men Skin Empowering Cream
Shisheido, meanwhile, has come up with Skin Empowering Cream. It combines three sources of power to awaken the strong vitality within men’s skin.

There is Carnosine DP, derived from Carnosine, which is an anti-oxidant naturally occurring in muscle tissues and the brain. It is effective in suppressing lactic acid, the cause of muscle fatigue.

Carnosine DP is known to have anti-aging effects such as high anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle benefits. While we don’t have anything against crow’s feet and laugh lines, we do believe you shouldn’t start getting them wrinkles at 25.

There is the Beech Bud Extract that helps improve skin elasticity.

And then there is the Argan Tree aroma which should make you do a James Brown and sing “I Feel good.”
