Just barely survived an extremely ridiculous all-nighter at the office but would still like to have a bottle or two to unwind, you know, for work-life balance? Or perhaps you’re just about to crawl off to bed after some late-night partying. Maybe your girlfriend has finally just unglued herself from her laptop after watching “just one more” episode of K-drama only to find that it’s 3AM and you have not done squat with your life, like eaten a decent meal for one.

If you’re in the Makati area, there’s no need to worry because they’ve got establishments that stay open 24 hours, seven days a week to keep night owls like you from grumbling your way to bed hungry. Try these places out when your rumbling belly can no longer be ignored.

1) Dong Won Garden

Jupiter Street, Bel-Air

As if your girlfriend still hasn’t had enough of her K-drama, she goes and craves for some Korean food. Fortunately for you, there’s Dong Won Garden to satisfy her cravings. Stop your moping and whining because you’re going to enjoy a hearty feast of Korean barbecue. Pair it with samgyupsal, kimchi, japchae, and a shot or two. For P1,500, you’ve not only filled up your tank but also earned some pogi boyfriend points for letting your girl fulfill her cravings.

2) H&J Sports Bar

Felipe St., Poblacion

If you’re a big football fan, you can enjoy great company here, and with good food and drinks too! That’s definitely going to be a lot better than restraining your cheers at home so you don't wake up the neighbours. Apart from the non-stop sports TV, you can also have a round at the pool table. Hang out by yourself, meet new mates, or go with your crew—P500 should win you some decent grub and drinks.

3) Kanto Freestyle Breakfast

P. Burgos St., Poblacion

Pinoy breakfasts are so hearty that they're perfect at any time of the day. Kanto in P. Burgos has got you covered on this front. From classic champorados and pandesal with keso, to delicious silog meals, freestyle-DIY meals, pancakes, and more, you can definitely say it’s never too late for breakfast at this post-inuman favorite.

4) Rufo’s Famous Tapas

A.Venue/Paseo Center/Pasong Tamo

With three branches in Makati City alone, there’s no excuse for you to miss out on your favorite tapa meals from Rufo’s. Not only are they open 24/7 hours, but they also deliver 24/7.

5) The Plantation

SCC Building, C. Palanca St., Legaspi Village

It can get really difficult to find a table in The Plantation, especially after work hours when people are looking to de-stress and unwind after a full day of corporate slavery. If you’d like to enjoy the place sans the crowd, you can go there instead after peak hours. It doesn’t matter if it’s going to be at 1AM or 4AM—they’re ready to serve you either way. Needless to say, there’s no stopping you from enjoying their lechon kawali, cordon bleu, pork chops, and other tasty pulutan. Ready at least P500 for a hearty meal for yourself, and at least P1,100 for an enjoyable dinner date.

6) The Old Swiss Inn

Somerset Olympia, Makati Ave

There’s no time limit as to when you can enjoy your cheese. The Old Swiss Inn offers you a delectable array of Swiss and other European dishes, from air-dried meats like prosciutto, salami, and sausages, to mouth-watering Raclette cheese. Steaks are also in the menu, as well as impressive racks of lamb, tiger prawns, and of course, cheese fondue! It’s a bit steeper in cost compared to the other midnight meal offerings here on this list (about P1,800 good for two), but hey, no one’s about to complain about paying for extra cheese, yeah?

7) Whistlestop

Milady Square Building, Jupiter St., Bel-Air

This classic pitstop never disappoints its patrons, no matter what time of day. They mostly offer breakfast, but also do have the usual bar chow offerings for you to enjoy. It’s as cozy and familiar as any neighborhood bar could be. It doesn’t hurt that it’s pretty easy on the wallet—P50 for a pint of beer is a steal for sure.

8) Ziggurat

Sunette Tower, Durban St., cor. Makati Ave, Poblacion

Kick off your shoes after a night of dancing and settle on one of the throw pillows on the floor at Ziggurat. Make your pick from their filling Indian dishes, from pita breads to samosa, fragrant rice varieties, mezze, and their famous chicken tikka masala.
