If you haven’t heard of Airbnb yet, you might want to consider it for your next vacation. It’s a website that allows folks to rent out their houses, apartments, condo units, and rooms to members of the site for a specified amount of time. Filter your options according to your budget, and determine where you’ll stay based on the provided photos, the descriptions of the unit and the area, the available amenities, and the reviews of the place. Simple enough, yes?
So, if you’re looking for a temporary bachelor’s pad in the heart of Metro Manila (and have the means), give Airbnb a go. It'll be able to serve you a host of man-approved options you'll be happy to stay in, like the ones below.
1) Gramercy Residences, Makati (P2,067 a night, via Susan)
Experience the high life by staying at this studio unit in the city’s most luxurious address! Susan’s cozy air-conditioned place has kitchen and dining amenities, a flatscreen TV, Wi-Fi, a comfy double bed, and a balcony with a majestic view of the city. There’s also a gym and swimming pools so you can stay in shape during your stay. But this pad’s real draw is its location: walking distance to Kalayaan’s many restaurants, a hop and a skip away from Century City Mall, and an elevator ride away from 71 Gramercy, the hippest club in town. We can’t think of a better place to indulge your inner playboy.
2) Manansala Tower, Rockwell Center, Makati (P3,992 a night, via Marlon)
Dudes with discriminating tastes can stay at Marlon’s modern one-bedroom unit in the heart of Rockwell. The master’s bedroom has a queen-size bed and a flatscreen TV, while the spacious (for a condo unit) main area has a well-appointed kitchen, a dining table, and a sofa set with a TV. There’s also a balcony, as well as a washer and a dryer. The best part: Rockwell doesn’t experience electricity outages, so you can indulge in your TV shows or games all day and all night long.
3) One Rockwell, Rockwell Center, Makati (P3,757 a night, via Marlon)
Marlon offers another great rental, this time at the equally luxe One Rockwell East Tower. This one’s a loft-type apartment on the building’s 11th floor, with a fully equipped kitchen, split-type air conditioning, a dining table set, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. On the loft, you have a queen-size bed and a nice bathroom. Guests here can also use the pool at the condo’s top floor and the gym, and it’s just a short walk from Power Plant Mall and the many restaurants and bars in the area.
4) One Rockwell, Rockwell Center, Makati (P3,522 a night, via Law and Chris)
This airy loft-type unit photographs especially well. A spacious-looking place with wide windows, sturdy furniture, a sleek staircase, and rugs all over the place, it’s just the kind of home you probably imagined living in when you grow up. We especially like the cheery red fridge and the large hypoallergenic bed! But above that, we’re really digging how owners Law and Chris clearly make an effort to make their guests feel as comfortable as possible: There’s Wi-Fi, cable TV, and an electronic safe. You can even request a playpen if you have a kid or bring your non-reptile pets along. There's a scenic pool within the building too if ever you want to chill and relax.
5) Azure Urban Resort Residences, Paranaque (P1,879 a night, via Akira)
Experience the island life in the middle of the city at Akira’s unit in Azure Urban Resort Residences. The condo itself has the typical amenities—two single beds you can connect to form a king-size bed, a nice bathroom, kitchen and dining amenities, Wi-Fi, a 40-inch cable TV—but you’ll really come here for the wave pool and their white sand "beach." Park your butt on one of the poolside chairs, close your eyes, and you might just convince yourself that you’re in Palawan and not Paranaque.
6) Mosaic Tower, Legazpi Village, Makati (P2,959 a night, via Andrea)
Andrea’s tastefully decorated studio is located right at the heart of the Makati CBD, making it the perfect place to stay in especially if you’re here for business. Just want a staycation? Make the most of the 40-inch cable TV and the home theater system, relax in the balcony with a bottle of wine or a cup of coffee, or get your blood pumping in the building’s pool and the gym. Sounds good, no?
7) Avant At The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (P4,791 a night, via Jazz)
Avant is located in a prime area of BGC, so you can be assured that it’s at the top of its class in terms of location. Jazz’s studio unit’s not a slouch either: a comfy queen-size bed, a big cable TV, free Wi-Fi, shiny appliances, complete kitchenware, and gorgeous floor-to-ceiling views of the nearby golf course and the Makati skyline. It’s the perfect thing to come home to after spending the day working out at the in-house gym, swimming at the secluded pool, and strolling around The Fort.
8) Forbeswood Heights, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (P3,522 a night, via Miguel)
When you’ve gotten your fill of BGC’s restaurants, stores, and nightlife, we can’t think of a better place to relax in than this modern one-bedroom unit. Tastefully decorated in warm brown hues and furnished with modern appliances, it’s just the kind of place you wouldn’t want to leave. Judging by all the five-star ratings Miguel has collected for his rental, this place is definitely a keeper. The spacious pool, the gym, and the tennis court are just the cherry on top!
9) Robinsons Place Residences, Manila (P3,194 a night, via Odette)
Students at the University Belt will especially appreciate staying at Odette’s centrally-located one-bedroom unit. The main area is nicely decorated, and come complete with a cable TV and appliances. The bedroom, meanwhile, has a large, cozy bed and floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s also right next door to Robinson’s Place Manila, so you can easily grab stuff if you need anything. There's also a gym within the building if you want to shed more unwanted pounds.
10) Grand Eastwood Palazzo, Eastwood City, Quezon City (P2,489 a night, via JayR)
If you’ve ever wanted to experience living in a celeb’s pad, you might want to check out this place, which is owned by R&B king JayR. It’s a 74-square-meter minimalist one-bedroom apartment on the building’s 16th floor with kitchen necessities, a flatscreen TV in the living room, two neat bathrooms, a queen-size bed, a large closet, and a laundry room. There’s also a pool, as well as easy access to Eastwood City and Libis’ many dining and entertainment options. Artista living, yo!
