Fellas, Kikuo Ibe is coming to the Philippines on the last day of the month! Woot woot!

Who is Kikuo Ibe? Mr. Ibe is the inventor of the hugely popular G-Shock watch line from Casio. You know, those tough-as-nails watches that have that angas and futuristic look we geeks absolutely love. He designed the first one in 1983 and, since then, G-Shocks have been spotted everywhere, even in friggin' space! Lupet!

In celebration of its 30th anniversary last year, the brand has come up with the G-Shock Shock The World Tour. The series of events aims to commemorate and celebrate the success of the G-Shock watch. And yes, it's coming to Manila with Mr. Ibe in tow! See him live at HYVE in Bonifacio Global City on February 28!

Here's another thing that should get G-Shock fans all pumped up: the Shock The World Manila watch! This limited-edition timepiece was made especially for the 'Pinas stop of the tour. It features design elements borrowed from the Philippine flag and, of course, the rugged facade G-Shocks are known for.

As for other toughie features, the G-Shock Manila watch is also shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 200 meters. It has a multi-function alarm, mirror dial, and countdown timer. We've also been told that it has a two-year battery life, which is pretty impressive.

The Shock The World Manila watch is set to be available in Time Depot outlets nationwide starting March 1! No word on official pricing though—we'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime, you could check out the event's official site for more deets!
