There are a gazillion types and ways to make a sandwich. In fact, you could say that the only limit here is your imagination (or what's inside your refrigerator/cupboard).
Here's the thing: Since there are so many kinds of sandwiches, the official definition of the term "sandwich" has been blurred. Is the hamburger a sandwich? How about that sweet cold treat called the ice cream sandwich? Is it really, well, a sandwich? Don't bother whipping out your dictionary; it probably won't help.
