The first ever Milo Nutri Up FitCon held on April 16, 2016 at the Globe Circuit Grounds was packed with everything you’ll need to finally get your act together and get healthy.

The event was divided into four areas according to the different ways you can up your game: the "Up Your Skills" area, "Up Your Knowledge" zone, "Up Your Nutrition" area, and "Up Your Lifestyle" space.

As expected, there were a lot of high energy activities happening all around—and a whole lot of sweating, too. Check out some photos of what went down:

We also ran across some truly #fitspirational people around the convention, from PBA courtside reporter (and one of last year’s 100 Sexiest Women) Rizza Diaz, to Milo Nutri Up ambassadors Erwan and Solenn Heussaff, and more. Here are some helpful fit hacks they shared with us:

Rizza, who hosted the event, says: “What I did personally—and this could sound funny—was I paid na for my gym sessions ahead. Since you paid for it already, then there's this feeling na parang, if you don't push yourself to go back, sayang 'yung binayad mo.”

Solenn, for her part, says we should be able to inspire ourselves. “It's always good to know the limits of where your body can take you. Usually, your brain always tricks you into thinking na hanggang dito ka lang. But it's really mind over matter," she shares. "You just have to push yourself and block your brain from thinking, 'I'm tired, I'm tired.' You're not tired. Just go for it. Kaya mo 'yan.

“For a regular person trying to get into fitness, [my number one tip is] to start. It doesn't have to be what you would consider like a full session. Just start. Starting as quick as five minutes is really a good place to begin. And then you build up to 10 and 15 minutes. Next thing you know, you're doing 30 minutes, and that's usually a pretty good amount of time.”

Coach Jim Saret, co­presenter and director of Athletic Performance Enhancement (APEX) Sports Training Inc.

“The first thing you have to do is to go see your doctor, or a specialist to make sure that your body is actually ready to engage in any form of exercise. A lot of people have been sedentary for a long time, and then suddenly they embark on [a physical activity], and sometimes, they might like an activity that's high intensity and their body's not ready for it. That usually leads to injuries.”

“There's no hard set rule of what's really good or bad for you. At the end of the day, it's really the quantity you take in. I usually tell people to look at food more as fuel, and just to really take what your body actually needs.”
