Marikina City is known for many things: the shoes, the shoemakers, the river, and now, as a rising foodie destination. And no, we’re not talking about the famous Lilac Street. In case you missed it, there’s something new in town.
Officially opening this Saturday, October 22, is Crave Park, the latest food hub to hit the city. With 18 concessionaires—ranging from traditional Mexican, American, Persian, to Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino specialties—whatever you’re cravings, they will be satisfied.
Aside from food, Crave Park also aims to awaken contemporary art appreciation by showcasing local street artists. The walls of the compound have colorful murals by artists Eggfiasco, Kookoo, and Distort. Art events will also be held in the park grounds, too.
Crave Park emerged from the Copuyoc family’s dream of working together on a project that revolves around food and art. “The family built Crave Park as an establishment for innovative food creators, foodies, families, students, and art lovers,” says Coreen Copuyoc, one of the owners. “Marikina was chosen because they have always supported the organic yet palpably adventurous food and art vibe in the area. Perfect for Crave Park,” she adds.
The FHM team got first dibs on Crave Park’s specialties before its grand opening tomorrow. With a budget of P2,000—perfect for 10 pax or more—we explored the place and ordered every delish dish each stall had to offer. Here’s your budget and bonding guide to help you out.
