Prepare yourselves for some really meaty numbers, carnivores!

A group called the Vegetarian Calculator has reportedly calculated how many animals the average meat-eater will devour in a lifetime. The magic number: 7,000!

Whoa! That's a lot of meat!

The vegetarian group broke down that figure into...

Also, if we add other animals that people also eat (e.g. rabbits, ducks), that number will grow by around 500. It's worth noting though that this study is probably aimed at Westerners, so the actual figures may be different for us Pinoys. That or the amount for each animal or the animal types will change (for example, sheep for goat meat). Still, this gives us an idea of just how carnivorous humans are in general. We mean, that's basically a whole, chicken-filled farm right there (plus a big-ass aquarium)!

Vegetarian Calculator is actually an organization which encourages people to eat less meat to have a more positive impact on Mother Nature. Hence, we assume that the aforementioned figures were intended to make us feel iffy about craving more meat.

So, for all meat lovers out there, was seeing those numbers effective in changing your mindset when it comes to meat? Or did you just say, "Lechon, bruh!" in response? Sound off in the comments section below!
