It’s our favorite time of the year—that’s aside from Christmas and the FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party; okay, it’s our THIRD favorite time of the year! But who’s counting, right? What’s more important is it’s now February. The love month. The okay-lang-magwaldas-para-sa-date month. The only month men are allowed to be ultra-cheesy.

But do you have any idea HOW to be cheesy? Are you and your lady constantly bickering about your lack of romance? Do you attribute your singlehood to your lack of wooing skills? Well, we’re going to solve these all for you! FHM will be dishing out daily how-to-be-a-Don-Romantiko tips the whole month of February!

Papa Jack
has found great success in talking about a topic that most guys would shy away from.

While most of us would need a bottle of rum before we can *hic* talk about love and relationships *hic*, Papa Jack has been Cupid’s apostle for several years now. You can hear his voice almost everywhere—cab, bus, jeep, tricycle, barbershop, even in supermarkets.

His wisdom for romance not only earned him a hit radio show, it also spawned him a couple of books and just recently a show on TV5. “The show is billed Call Me Papa Jack. It’s actually an adaptation of my radio show. I will still get callers, read tweets, review some comments, and the best part, I’ll also have celebrity guests,” he tells us.

But that's not the only thing we talked about. For today, the start of the second year of FHM's 28 Days Of Romansahan, we asked this generation's Doctor Love for the best resolutions every guy should practice if they want to become a better papi!

Papa Jack's five-step guide to Lothario-hood starts with...

1)   Be The Best Of Friends

"That goes for both boys and girls. Maging mag-kaibigan kayo kasi ang boyfriend-girlfriend relationship nabre-break, kapag kaibigan mo hindi mo pwede i-break yan. Your relationship as lovers may experience a bit of falling out—especially married couples—but the good thing is, you can always go back to being friends."

2)   Try To Be Your Girlfriend’s Personal Genie

"Make sure that she can make a wish to you anytime, whether granted or not. It’s the idea of her being open to you and being comfortable enough to say what she really wants. And if you’re capable of making some of it happen, then why not? But don’t limit her to just three wishes lang ha."

3)   Try To Say ‘I Love You’ Often—And In Person

"Just don’t make it a status on Facebook, especially now in this era of social media, minsan away na kapag hindi kayo 'Facebook official.' Don’t be content with professing your love over the Internet. Saying  ‘I love you’ often to her in person makes it more special. It makes the connection more personal."

4)   Just Say Sorry. Period.

"Stop looking at saying ‘sorry’ as some sort of a big deal. At some point, you’re going to make mistake, so make it a normal thing to say sorry. And guys, take note: Kapag nag-sorry ka, sorry lang ang sasabihin mo. Period. Minsan kasi may kadugtong eh. 'Sorry… kasi…' Stop it. Don’t say sorry then. You’re saying sorry to ask for her forgiveness, and not as an excuse para makalusot ka."

5)   Don’t Cheat

"The prime reason why couples break up. Cheating on her doesn’t really makes you macho or anything, it shows that you’re an immature person who doesn’t know how to value your partner."
