Girls love surprises. And If you want to be the guy that stands head and shoulders above all her other suitors, then you have to be able to show her an unforgettable time when you go out. While taking her out to a movie is still a solid option, it’s not something that will really set you apart. Instead, why not take her to watch a musical.

We know what you’re thinking, musicals are for old people who enjoy watching actors belt out operatic tunes—not really your idea of a good time. But before you dismiss the idea, you should know that apart from the classics you’re more familiar with musical theater has also embraced the best of OPM and the results are absolutely amazing.

Rak of Aegis

Back for its 6th run, Rak of Aegis is brought to you by the Philippines Educational Theater Association (PETA). Rak, as it is more popularly known, uses the immortal classics by pinoy rock band Aegis to tell the story of Aileen and her dream of being discovered as a singer. It is a loud, energetic, and rockin’ musical that reflects the difficulties and joys of Filipino life.

The show runs until September 2. Get your tickets via Ticketworld.
