For many football enthusiasts, adidas' Copa Mundial is nothing short of iconic. It has been around since 1979 and has grown to be the world's best-selling football boot ever. We have one very small beef with it though: Sometimes it just looks bland, no thanks to its now run-of-the-mill black-white color combination. For something that's over three decades old, we say a slight tweak in appearance will do wonders for the shoe line.
Good thing adidas listens. Check out below, the new bold and bright Samba Copa Mundial boots!
The new 2014 Copa Mundial kicks are now bathed in the colors of adidas' Samba boot line (blue, green, purple, and red). The laces also got the Samba treatment, arriving in new colors to complement the more vibrant and energetic look. This refresh is part of adidas' preparations for the biggest sporting event of the year, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Despite the addition of new colorways however, the new Copa Mundial still retains the overall design and streamlined shape the original became known for. This means we all will still get to enjoy a low-cut shoe that's light, flexible, and durable enough to take a beating in the football field.
