Getting a tattoo (usually) requires deep thought. After all, you will be having a permanent mark on whichever body part, and you wouldn't want to be included in that long list of ink fails.

After seeing the work of tattoo artist Steve Butcher however, we suddenly want to lie down on the mat and just let him do his thing.

Steve specializes in hyperrealistic tattoos, and by "specializes" we mean he could really make a particular area take on a life of its own. For someone who is self-taught, he has gotten extremely good at what he does in a mere span of five years. (Meanwhile, we here couldn't even draw a damn circle...)

More so, Steve is a self-confessed "basketball nut," and his works further drive the point home. His NBA-themed work ranges from lifelike portraits of the game's prominent figures... breathtaking renditions of its most iconic moments.

Although Steve's portfolio isn't limited to basketball; his take on nature and darker themes can be only described as 3D.

Too bad he is currently based in New Zealand. What is certain is that Steve will have no shortage of clients if he decides to visit the country.
