It’s the weekend, and you know what this means: Your regular dose of necessary man knowledge, coming right up! Get the scoop on the upcoming PS4s, and read up on a couple of dream jobs we’d really love to add to our resumes.
What’s better than a new PlayStation 4? Two new PlayStation 4 models, which is sort of what we’re getting in September from Sony. The company will launch a powered-up PS4 called the Neo, as well as a refreshed version of the standard PS4. It’s definitely an interesting year in the gaming world!
And oh, ICYMI, here’s Gilas 5.0′s final lineup for the FIBA Asia Challenge: Mac Belo, Kevin Ferrer, Von Pessumal, Almond Vosotros, Mike Tolomia, Roger Pogoy, Russel Escoto, Arnold Van Opstal , Ed Daquioag, Jonathan Grey, Alfonzo Gotladera, Carl Bryan Cruz, Chris Javier, and CJ Perez.
We now have one very good reason to watch the VMAs: Britney Spears. Yep, Brit-Brit will be strutting her stuff at the VMAs for the first time in years. Knowing her history of scintillating performances at the annual music awards show (remember her MOMOL session with Christina Aguilera and Madonna?), this one’s definitely expected to be another slambang moment to be ecstatic about.
You’d think sports brands would be stepping up their game as far as pro-ballers' shoe collabs go, but that’s not always the case (see: Stephen Curry’s Under Armour dad shoes). James Harden is the latest victim, with his adidas kicks getting roasted after a pic was leaked recently. Lucky for Harden, the shoes will be officially released in December, meaning he’s still got a few months left to be redeemed. Don’t fail us, adidas!
You don’t mess with athletic chicks, especially gold-winning Olympians with twice the amount of abs you have. Unfortunately, that’s what Twitter troll @UWantMyD_aniel did, and he learned his lesson quick after poking fun at gumnasts Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian’s collective 72 abs. Hope you learned your lesson, man.
Kit Harington hasn’t read the script for Season 7 of Game of Thrones, but he’s got a few guesses as to where the story will go. “Think it's going to get very bleak before there is a happy ending,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think with the whole 'winter is finally here' business, it means everyone is going to have a really bad time.” Judging from what we’ve seen from the show so far, let’s just say we’re not exactly surprised.
Fried chicken company, KFC, recently came out with its own brand of fried chicken-scented sunscreen. We’re not kidding: KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen is really a thing in the USA, and all 3,000 bottles were snapped up in two hours. Perfect for your next beach trip, huh?
If you’ve ever fantasized about having a supermodel as a prof, here’s your chance: Tyra Banks will be co-teaching a personal branding class in Stanford University for two weeks. You think she’ll also be teaching her students how to smize?
This, friends, is Ivy Lim. She’s a 22-year-old Singaporean who’s currently the only person in the world who can legitimately put “Pokémon Master” in her resume. You read that right: She actually gets paid $1,000 a month for at least three months to play Pokémon GO and create a fun Pokémon-playing experience for other folks. Lucky girl!
While we’re on the topic of fun jobs, UK Gin & Tonic club, ILoveGin, is looking for an “enthusiastic gin-loving intern” who can visit distilleries around the UK and parts of Europe, try gin cocktails, guzzle down gin mixers, and learn about new gin brands (ideally without getting shitfaced), all while getting paid “up to £20,000.” What a dream job!
Jennifer Lopez, the queen of booty herself, is back on the market! "Jennifer and Casper (Smart, her ex-boyfriend) have split,” a source told People.com. "It wasn't anything dramatic and they were on good terms–it just came to a natural end," the source added. "They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together.” Rejoice, J.Lo lovers!
People have been divided when it comes to a lot of things about the Duterte admin, but this one’s 100-percent guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser: a fairer and more efficient income tax system that should be in effect by January 2017. We’re definitely looking forward to this particular change!
Facebook is testing out a new comment setting, where only your intended recipient can see your post. It’s great for those convo threads in comments, but on the other hand, we can easily see trolls abusing this to terrorize hapless folks on FB. Thoughts?
