UK’s first nudist rooftop bar has started operations, just in time for the onset of their summer season.
Also billed as Britain's first ever nudist terrace, the bar is being run by internet television service provider NOW TV and is located 60 ft. above Parliament Square in downtown London. It offers customers a chance to sun bathe in their birthday suits with a great view of Big Ben, the London Eye, and Westminster Abbey. The pop-up rooftop joint includes an open-air bar, sunbathing areas, and a trampoline.
The nudist terrace was opened to promote NOW TV's contract-free content plans. The company thought of giving potential clients the "freedom to choose their TV and broadband without being tied down," similar to the idea of opening an exposed rooftop bar for people to free themselves from their clothes.
"Why? Well, as you can now get freedom from contracts with NOW TV, we decided there should be freedom from clothes too," according to NOW TV's website. "We trialed the 'clothes-free' terrace to mark the launch of our new contract-free NOW TV Combo—giving you the freedom to choose your TV and broadband without being tied down."
According to a survey they conducted, NOW TV found out that young British people dislike being tied down and are more carefree than the previous generation, thus branding them the "No Strings" generation.
They announced the concept through a promotional video uploaded on their YouTube page earlier this month.
Those interested to try out the novel experience can pre-register by sending NOW TV an email with their name, age, and email address to email@example.com.
