If you thought your rich kid friend was being extravagant when he treated your barkada to a bucket of beer on his birthday, wait till you hear about how our Saturday night was.
The FHM team was invited to attend the birthday party of Sam Verzosa, CEO of Frontrow Enterprise Philippines and International. We know what you’re thinking, and no, we don’t do birthday parties (well, not unless you’re throwing one at least half as lit as this one).
According to Pep.ph, Sam spent a total of 7 million for this birthday bash!
At first, we weren’t really sure what we were getting ourselves into but the promise of unlimited alcohol, bikini models, and the chance to mingle with with A-List socialites, including our 2017 Sexiest, Nadine Lustre, was more than enough to pique our interests.
Right as we stepped into Palace Pool Club (which Sam rented out just because), we were greeted by the sight of a group of foreign bikini-clad models drinking champagne by the pool, you’d think we stepped into a hiphop music video until we heard the DJ sing happy birthday, Sam. A bunch of waiters guided us to our VIP Cabana, where a champagne bottle was sitting inside a bucket of ice. The waiter popped off the cork and told us that the party was just getting started.
People were just chilling around the main stage when the DJ suddenly stopped spinning. The two hosts, Alex Calleja and former FHM cover girl Phoemela Baranda, came up to introduce the next artist that would play. An all too familiar tune started playing, “Nang ma-inlove ako sa ‘yo kala ko’y pag-ibig mo ay tunay, di rin nagtagal lumabas din ang tunay na kulay…” The crowd started cheering as Andrew E. started bringing the house down. Everyone started singing along; even Sam, who had the song memorized from heart was rapping his lungs out.
Just as you think the party couldn’t get anymore hyped, RS Francisco, close friend of Sam and president of Frontrow, whipped out his Supreme CashCannon Money Guns and made it rain on the crowd. Some of our staff were lucky enough to have some bills land near their feet.
The energy was through the roof, but the night was just getting started for some of the party-goers. Loads of people were still coming in past midnight. Even Nadine Lustre and James Reid took a break from their busy schedule just to celebrate with Sam.
For us, the party was all that we expected and more, but for big players like Sam, this night was all about having fun with good friends and making lasting memories. Happy Birthday, Sam, from all of us here at FHM HQ. Till next year!
