There are a few things in life that we wish we could recreate.

Fond memories. Missed chances. Grandma's cookies. The Coca-Cola formula. What makes Kentucky Fried Chicken finger lickin' good.

That last one seems finally possible after one of KFC founder Colonel Sanders' relatives supposedly divulged their family's well-kept chicken recipe.

During a trip to the Harland Sanders Cafe and Museum in Kentucky, a Chicago Tribune reporter may have stumbled upon the Colonel's top-secret flavor—all thanks to Sanders' nephew, Joe Ledington.

Ledington was reportedly going through a family scrapbook when he took out a handwritten 11-item list of "the original 11 herbs and spices that were supposed to be so secretive."

For those having trouble reading:

Mix with 2 cups white flour
1) 2/3 Ts salt
2) 1/2 Ts thyme
3) 1/2 Ts basil
4) 1/3 Ts oregano
5) 1 Ts celery salt
6) 1 Ts black pepper
7) 1 Ts dried mustard
8) 4 Ts paprika
9) 2 Ts garlic salt
10) 1 Ts ground ginger
11) 3 Ts white pepper

KFC, of course, said the recipe behind its famous chicken's goodness is not based on this Ledington's revelation, describing it as far from accurate, The Independent said.

Even Ledington, the report added, sounded uncertain when the Tribune contacted him again for confirmation.

Why do we a have a feeling you'll be doing some cooking this weekend?
