Aside from beautiful football, the 2014 FIFA World Cup is also a showcase of lots of beautiful gear–beautiful, wallet-destroying gear. Now, the usual article will be a ranking of the best and worst, but we all know showing up to open play games in any team’s full getup instantly marks you out as a trying hard.
Instead, we all should mix and match our shit (sometimes with the odd office sportsfest jersey thrown in), so behold: the FHM World Cup Super Kit 2014!
Top: Germany Away
Red jerseys have been touted to give teams a psychological edge, while black just looks plain menacing. Combining the two together pretty much screams murder on the pitch. The collar is a bit fasyon but the horizontal stripes are kept basic and bold. No need for a fading gradient. #thankyouverymuch
Alternate: France Away
If you’re looking for a jersey that wouldn’t make you feel like you're trying hard when worn casually, this is it.
Bottom: Japan Home
The orange trim gives the Blue Samurai’s shorts just the right amount of flash. You might think matching blue with red is a bad idea (see Team USA away!) but the darker shade of Japan’s kit makes it work in our eyes.
Alternate: Germany Away; might as well commit fully if black shorts are your thing. It's so slimming!
