Since the launch of the third-gen Honda CR-V in 2007, the SUV had come to be known as a looker and the 2010 Honda CR-V ensures it stays that way. It isn’t brash nor bold, but rather elegant with just the right amount of sportiness.
It features a classy new two-step front grille with honeycomb design, boxy new bumpers that adeptly contrast the car’s curvy profile, and modern-looking alloy wheel designs. The car’s rugged-looking lower body, and stylish upper body profile gives the car a very strong presence on city roads.
Inside, the CR-V is just stylish: a svelte interior and a smooth, clutter-free dashboard. The car’s soundproofing is worthy of note too, as little road noise ever reaches the passenger’s ear.
The driver’s seat provides superior road visibility, while the speedometer and other meters feature white LED lights and cool blue illumination that adds to this car’s personality. The car’s urbane style, inside and out, definitely makes it a modern classic.
Though the polished looks of CR-V might lead you to think that it’s a soft performer, a look under the hood should make you think otherwise. The 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine produces 150 horsepower at 6200 RPM, giving the car sufficient pulling power.
The car’s lightweight, well-balanced body and low weight of gravity seemingly augment the engine’s power, hence making the CR-V feel more lithe and quick. If you’re looking for a little more power, the CR-V also has a 2.4-liter 170 horsepower engine variant.
Tree huggers will find the CR-V attractive, too as it boasts EURO-4 level certification, which means that its emissions are above-average clean.
All in all, the 2010 Honda CR-V is just a great car that is elegant, sporty, and powerful. And with prices starting at just 1.3 million pesos, it is definitely a more realistic choice for the rest of us who don’t have access to millions.
