From November 29 to December 2, 2012, the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City will host the 2012 Manila Auto Salon, now on its sixth year.
What has gotten people to come back annually to this event? It’s a car show for serious enthusiasts, specifically the type who watched MTV’s Pimp My Ride religiously. This year’s event will bring together an extensive roster of companies focused on the business of transforming cars into personalized, customized, bling-ified four-wheeled machines of wonder. From car restoration services to providers of extreme automotive audio equipment, the Manila Auto Salon is where you need to head this weekend to check out the industry’s most talked-about names in the art of vehicle beautification.
The participants—custom car shops, aftermarket shops, performance upgrade specialists—promise to bring their A-game (and their most eye-catching rides) to get a chance to win Best-In-Show awards. So to anyone who’s going, you can expect the event to wow you with some pretty wicked rides.
How wicked? Well, when we attended the event's opening rites we noticed there was a satisfying lack of karag-karag vehicles. Hit the gallery below, and skim through some of the sights we had seen.
