Nissan Reveals The All-New Altima

Lower, longer, and wider
Most Popular

Here's another big reveal from this year's New York International Auto Show. This time, it's the all-new Nissan Altima.

As you'd expect, the car's design has been upgraded to match the popular trends. Like the current Leaf, the all-new Altima gets sharper lines and corners compared to its predecessor. Up front, the V-Motion grille is larger and more pronounced, extending down to the front bumper. Underneath are large 19-inch wheels. Overall, Nissan says it's "lower, longer, and wider than the previous generation with a highly balanced, aggressive stance."

Inside, you get a "gliding wing" cabin layout that comes with an eight-inch infotainment display. The Altima is equipped with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of features, which includes ProPilot Assist, rear automatic braking, and blind-spot warning.

The all-new Altima gets two engine choices: a 2.5-liter in-line-four and an optional 2.0-liter turbo for the SR and Platinum variants. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is now available, a first for the Altima, though the 2.0-liter turbo only comes with front-wheel drive. Reservations in the US start in summer, with other markets to follow later on.
