Partakan 2018 isn't billed as "the country's biggest moto-tourism adventure ride" for nothing.
The grand event, where hardcore bikers come together and celebrate the motorcycle history (not to mention the scenic beauty of the Philippines), is now on its fifth run. From being a niche group, the Partakan following has expanded to a full-blown community.
Fueled by Ropali Classics, the mutual occassion gives the one-of-a-kind bond of men and machines a platform, with brotherhood, passion and, freedom at the forefront as its core values.
Here's what to expect in Partakan 2018:
Auto Moto Speed Challenge
Kicking things off is the time-based motorcycle and automobile drag race in a controlled setting. Rugged bikers are encouraged to best their personal and fellow riders' records (fastest time for a specific category and distance) via Auto Moto.
Participants of the Wipeout-based experience will find themselves in a series of physical, mental, and psychological obstacles. In a GMA News Online report, this portion includes a kayak race that will extend the scope of the competition.
What would be an event culminating by the beach without a bevy of bikini-clad babes? Partakan 2018 jumps into the summer activities earlier than everyone else through the swimsuit contest, which will be followed by the much-awaited grand raffle.
The party starts with the Battle of the Bands in between the Bailout Challenge and Bikini Open. Performers of the main show have yet to be announced, but expect a hard-hitting lineup to represent the local motorcycle culture.
But before all of that, hundreds of moto enthusiasts will take part in the three-day carrier activity, which doubles as the ultimate road adventure. There's a reason why Partakan is also considered as a tourism ride—the route features the most picturesque trails.
The Amazing Ride hits the ground running on March 28 (Wednesday) at Clark Parade Grounds in Angeles City, Pampanga, and sees its finish line at Pozo Robo in Santa Ana, Cagayan on March 31. Register online by clicking here.
