When you think of Honda, the two cars that float to the top of your head would most likely be the Civic and CR-V. There’s a bit of a dichotomy when it comes to those two though—the FC Civic is one hell of a looker and every bachelor’s dream ride, while the CR-V is the responsible family man’s ride of choice because it's an SUV. Well, the new HR-V in RS Navi trim has just arrived to give you the best of both worlds.
Up front, the RS has a fresh bumper, honeycomb grill, chin spoiler, and full LED headlights with DRL’s that make it look every bit as handsome as its sedan brother. The sportiness continues around the car with sideskirts, blackout trim parts, 17-inch alloys and smoked LED tails out back—perfectly topped off with that red “RS” badge. It also comes in a can’t miss Phoenix Orange paintjob if you prefer that over classic Taffeta White.
Aside from damn good sporty looks, the HR-V RS also shares the same 140hp 1.8-liter engine with the NA Civic. It’s mated to a CVT tranny with a full suite of drive assists, and even comes with an electronic parking brake (because nothing is as suave as not having to yank a lever when parking).
Inside, you get a full leather interior, a new seven-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility (for Waze and Spotify, sure) and enough space to delight the family.
The Utility, Long, Tall or ULT seats can even be arranged Tetris-style to fit in basically whatever you want to pile in into the HR-V. SRP is P1,495,000 for the RS Navi, a P200,000 premium over the normal E version—a difficult decision to make, that’s for sure!
