You might have heard that Apple is also planning on making cars.
According to a report from Bloomberg, "Apple executives had imagined an electric car that could recognize its driver by fingerprint and autonomously navigate with the press of a button."
The company has been working on a self-driving car since 2014, but the tech giant's plana were quickly scrapped due to struggles within the company and employee resignations.
Still, this doesn't stop Apple from creating new technology to improve our lives.
In fact, the company patented a device back in 2016 that can send an activation message to your vehicle so it can be remotely opened.
However, there are similar apps that are already available in the market. Apps such as Viper SmartStart allows you to unlock your car using a smartphone, while Hyundai has an app on Google Play called BlueLink, which can easily locate your car in a parking lot as well as start your engine for you.
Despite all of those competitors, Apple has decided to rework their car idea, which they're now calling Project Titan. According to reports, Apple executives are giving their team until late 2017 to prove the self-driving car's capabilities.
