The Hyundai Grand Starex Limousine is tremendously well-suited for a full-size vehicle, making excellent use of its space, inside and out.
The entirety of its exterior is so broad that the limo can only command pure and undivided attention. When the vehicle was featured on the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show last month, its presence was undeniable.
Just lie inside for a little bit and marvel at a vehicle so carefully planned you’d think this is a presidential limo. Simply said, it is looking to be the undisputed king of grandiose family vans.
Enter the premises of the vehicle to feel the premium luxury leathered seats for yourself – it can be swiveled to create larger space and the first of the two rear seats can be adjusted to a full flat seat as well.
Close the door and see that the center trim door looks and feels just as soft. The steering wheel and the shift lever are also both wrapped in leather.
The sun visor contains a vanity mirror, illuminations, a slide cover, and a ticket holder. Even the rear view mirror’s got something going on, containing an auto dimming ECM (Electro-Chromic mirror) functions.
This 10-seater also comes with window curtains, and the power windows have a driver auto down and switch illumination feature.
The highlight of them all however comes in the beautiful 21” LCD Screen found in its video system. It also has a high-tech looking 6.5” TFT LCD screen and a touch screen navigation system that helps you focus on the driving alone.
The Grand Starex Limousine has four color guides to choose from: crystal white, sleek silver, stone black and soft ecru. All of them are coated in chrome too.
Same features are applied: sliding doors, a lift-type tail gate, a flush glass, and the rear window defogger. The cool add-on though is the front wiper’s 2-speed, variable intermittent, and time adjust feature.
The vehicle has an overall weight of 5,125mm x 1,920mm x 2,210mm, with a wheelbase of 3,200mm. Its fuel tank capacity can measure up to 75 liters.
The Starex has a Hyundai 2.5L CRDi VGT engine type, with a maximum output of 170ps/3800rpm and a maximum torque of 40kg/2000m-2500rpm. It also uses an H-matic 5-speed A/T as its transmission.
The front and rear suspensions use the McPherson with coil spring and Rigid Axle 5-link with coil spring respectively, both having gas-type shock absorbers. Discs are used for the front and rear brakes, while the parking brake uses a hand type.
Steering is also surprisingly convenient, with the steering type using hydraulic power steering and tilt adjust steering wheel.
The Hyundai Grand Starex Limousine sells in the market for P2.5 to P2.6 million. For more info on this featured drive, swing by Hyundai Philippines' website.
