Game of Thrones (GoT) fans couldn’t help but get excited after watching its latest episode titled “Eastwatch,” which had numerous developments involving most of Westeros’ major players.

Fortunately for us, the hit fantasy series released a preview trailer for the sixth episode of Season 7, which will help us survive the week-long wait before it actually gets released. The episode titled “Death Is The Enemy” will be the penultimate before the much-awaited season finale.

Penultimate GoT episodes are a big deal for fans since this is when the most exciting stuff of the season usually happens, like the “Battle of the Bastards” in Season 6, and “The Rains of Castamere,” more popularly known as the shocker that was the Red Wedding episode, way back in Season 3.

So far, the preview looks like it’s going to be all about Wights, White Walkers, and the Wall. Check it out:

Now that you’ve seen it, let’s discuss some of the scenes and dissect what this might mean for the upcoming penultimate episode and season finale. Here are some observations on the preview:

1) Dragonstone

There seems to be something oddly wrong with the way Daenerys and Tyrion are staring at each while in the map room of Dragonstone. Whatever is bugging them, it seems that they might be disagreeing on an important, unkown issue.

2) Winterfell

Things aren’t looking good up in the North, where Littlefinger’s mind games are taking a hold on the Stark sisters. But should we be worried? After all, Sansa has survived Ramsay Bolton’s torturous ways while Arya has outsmarted the infamous Faceless Men of Braavos.

3) The Flaming sword

In the preview, we once again get to see Beric Dondarrion’s awesome flaming sword. We’re going to assume that he’s going to wield it against some Wights or the more formidable White Walkers. The question is, will it work? So far, we know that fire works well against Wights, but White Walkers are on a totally different level as they can only be killed with Dragonglass or Valyrian steel.

4) Beyond the Wall

Judging from most of the scenes, it’s already pretty obvious that there will be some kind of fighting involving Jon Snow’s band of heroes, composed mostly of main characters (yikes, multiple death flags detected) and the White Walker army.

Jon is also shown running for dear life with Tormund Giantsbane closely behind him as they are chased by countless undead. We all know how someone always dies during penultimate episodes. Going by that premise, this might be foreshadowing Tormund’s death.

5) Night King

It’s just a short scene at the end, but we do get to see the Night King in all of his undead glory. He seems to be coldly staring at while approaching something, or someone. Other than this, there’s really not much to deduce at this point aside from it being a setup for the upcoming Westeros versus White Walker War.
