On Wednesday, April 20, the WWE lost one of its pioneers in the Women's Division as former wrestler Chyna was found dead at her home in Redondo Beach, California at the age of 45.

A notable figure during the "Attitude Era," Chyna was known to many as the woman enforcer for Triple H and D-Generation X. She will also go down in the history of the sport as the only female wrestler who has the ability to go toe to toe with her counterparts from the opposite sex, even winning the male-dominated Intercontinental Championship.

To pay tribute to the spectacle touted the "Ninth Wonder of the World" and her illustrious career, let's take a look back at Chyna's most memorable moments inside the ring.

Debut at 'In Your House 13: Final Four'

Right off the bat, Chyna made a name for herself in 1997 by debuting as a "plant" (a wrestler acting as part of the audience) and assaulting Marlena from the sidelines, in the midst of a match between Triple H and Goldust.

Chyna becomes the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble

On her third year into the WWE (then World Wrestling Federation), she had established herself as Triple H's "muscle." In many matches, Chyna distracted the referee to tip the scales in favor of the Cerebral Assassin. Her 1999 highlight however, was that year's edition of the "Royal Rumble," as the battle royal's first-ever female entrant. Unfortunately, Chyna was eliminated by eventual winner Stone Cold Steve Austin, but not before eliminating Mark Henry.

The first (and only) woman to win the Intercontinental Championship

Months after her landmark Royal Rumble participation, Chyna saw herself making history once again by becoming the organization's first woman Intercontinental Champion after defeating Jeff Jarrett in a "Good Housekeeping match" (not to be mistaken as sanctioned by our sister publication) at the "No Mercy" pay-per-view event. By this time, her role had expanded significantly, evident by the increasing number of her singles matches against men. No wonder WWE lists Chyna's victory as one of the most historical Intercontinental Championship triumphs...

D-Generation X invades WCW

At the height of the "Monday Night Wars" between World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and WWF, the prominent faction declared "war" on WCW. In a notable episode of Monday Night Raw, Chyna joined DX in personally invading WCW, resulting in what became a historic event in the ratings war. The group drove an army truck—complete with a cannon—and went straight into WCW Monday Nitro. WCW answered by shutting the front door. Literally.

The 'Ninth Wonder of the World' becomes women's champ on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'

She reached the pinnacle of her career upon grabbing the Women's Championship from Ivory at "WrestleMania X-Seven," in front of 67,925 fans. Sadly, it was all downhill from there as Chyna vacated the belt shortly even after a successful title defense versus Lita at "Judgment Day" in 2001. That would end up as her last WWF match following a still-unclear fallout with the company.
