We all know how Jason Momoa, who once starred in Game of Thrones (GoT) as the ferocious Khal Drogo, is also one of the long-running show’s biggest fans.So it wouldn’t really be surprising to find out that Momoa recently visited the GoT set all the way in Belfasl.
Naturally, this triggered rumors that he was shooting a comeback role for the hit fantasy series. The best fan theories so far see him returning as a reanimated white walker, or perhaps in a flashback scene with the Moon of his life, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
Momoa, for his part, had a simple (and quite suspicious) explanation: he just missed his GoT family. “I just showed up to see producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss and I just happened to see people on set... I haven't been over there in a long time,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
But being the biggest GoT fan, the former Dothraki Warchief didn’t walk away empty-handed. Momoa got some insider info on the final season. “It’s going to be unbelievable. It’s going to f— up a lot of people. And it was a bummer because I’m a huge fan and I didn’t want to know what’s going on. I was like, ‘Damn, I didn’t want to know that!’” he said.
That definitely leaves much to the imagination but we’ll take it. We’re also still hoping that Momoa actually comes back because Khal Drogo is just that awesome.
HBO has yet to reveal a premiere date yet for the final season of Game of Thrones which only consists of six episodes but fans are expecting it to finally air sometime in 2019.
