The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Honor Thy Father is currently embroiled in a bit of controversy after the film was disqualified from the award show's "Best Picture" race. The MMFF took it out of the selection on a number of technicalities. The film's team, including its producer and director, didn't respond favorably—as directors and producers probably should in such circumstances.
On the other hand, the film's leading man, John Lloyd Cruz, and Up Dharma Down's Armi Millare (she sang the movie's theme song "Tao"), have resorted to an old adage we live by: "Ikanta mo na lang 'yan."
The two artists paired up for an acoustic rendition of the "Tao." It's quite the chill performance with JLC plucking away at the strings in his shorts and with his feet propped up on the couch's edge whilst Armi reads the lyrics on her phone. Check it out:
A little something from the #honorthyfather family. Sa mga hindi pa nanonood, do it tomorrow! Haha. Enjoy! #tao #garyperez #sampaguitaPosted by Armi Millare on Monday, 28 December 2015
