Elections-themed material has been understandably prevalent this season.
Aside from tons of campaign paraphernalia (the cleaning up of which is the least of the candidates' worries) and wasted airtime on grandiose promises and desperate faces begging for you to vote for them, creatives are pouncing on the opportunity of this rowdy period.
A good example is UP SAMASKOM's comedy variety show Live A.I.D.S. (Ang Istoryang Dinebelop ng Samaskom), whose 31st installment was recently held at the Abelardo Hall of the University of the Philippines.
"HA-LOL-AN 2016" (the title of the performance this year), which coincided with the last Pilipinas Debates 2016 last Sunday, is rather fittingly a parody of the presidential verbal tussle.
And one of the most applauded parts of the act was the uncanny and whimsical impersonation of vice presidential candidate, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo.
With her reserved nature (except for that killer mic drop during the VP debate), it would be quite a stretch for anyone to mimic the faintest of Leni's nuances. However, the lady in the video below proved otherwise:
We did a little bit of research on who played the hilarious part and she does indeed resemble the late Jesse Robredo's doting wife!
